Frequently Asked Questions

  • How long does it take for microblading to heal?
Microblading will become darker in pigment and begin to scab over within the first 2 days after treatment. It will take approximately 7-10 days for scabs to fall off (do not pick them off!). A slightly lighter, healed pigment will be revealed.
  • Does microblading hurt?
Advances in how microblading is performed have helped to greatly minimize discomfort during treatment. A topical numbing gel is applied prior to treatment in order to make your microblading as painless as possible.
  • How do I care for my eyebrows after microblading?
After treatment, avoid getting your eyebrows wet for 7-10 days to ensure ample healing time and to allow your brows to retain all their pigment. Apply the provided ointment or vaseline for the duration of their healing to keep them moisturized. Do NOT pick off any scabs that form. All these things will allow your brows to heal faster and ensure that no pigmentation is lost during the healing process.
  • How does plasma fibroblasting work?
Plasma Fibroblasting is performed using a plasma pen and topical anesthetic cream for numbing. An electrical arc is emitted from the pen without actually touching the skin. On all of the areas where the plasma pen is used, the electrical discharge leaves micro-craters in the skin, which heal in the form of small dots. Skin around the dots shrink to heal the micro-craters, which causes the skin-stretching effect. Scabs from the dots will fall off after approx. 1 week, revealing pink dots in their place that will gradually fade over time.
  • What is plasma fibroblasting good for?
Plasma fibroblasting works wonders on fine lines, deep wrinkles, scars, and uneven skin tone. The treatment is antiaging, triggering your skins natural healing powers by using plasma energy to cause your body to produce new collagen and elastin. Plasma fibroblast treatment can be used almost anywhere on your body but especially works well on the face, neck, stomach, thighs, and arms.
  • How long does it take for plasma fibroblasting to heal?
Aftercare accounts for 70% of final results. If the client doesn’t take care of the area properly, results will be less effective after the healing process of 8 weeks. Once you are home, apply a thin layer of aftercare balm. This balm will make the skin recover faster. You may remove it before going to bed with a wet cotton or towel by tapping gently. Do not wash the area for 12 hours. What to expect: Right after treatment, clusters of yellowish spots (carbon crusts) will appear in the treated area and remain visible up to 5 to 7 days. These crusts act a protection of the area and assist the healing process. Depending on the sensitivity of the client’s skin, redness and/or swelling are possible in delicate areas; this should disappear after 2 days. You may choose to use an anti-inflammatory such as Tumeric or OTC or an antihistamine such as Quercitin or OTC. For best results avoid: •Direct exposure to the sun for 5-7 days. If you go out, to use Broad Spectrum Sunscreen. Wear a hat and sunglasses if possible. •Face down sleeping if sensitive area was treated, this may increase the chances of swelling. •Makeup or cosmetic products in the treated area for the first 7 days. Makeup usage can result in skin infection. •Invigorating physical activity that causes sweating for the first 7 days. •Swimming pools or saunas for the first 7 days.
  • How many times will I need a plasma fibroblast treatment to see results?
Immediate results will be enhanced due to cell dehydration. After a short time, you may notice that enhancement has been reduced slightly; however, your skin will continue to improve as skin generates. End results can be expected at 6 to 8 weeks. The duration of these results is permanent; however, your skin will continue to age as usual. If you feel that you need an extra session, you may do so, but the minimum wait time for another session is 6 weeks. Best results depend on the amount of tissue that needs to be tightened and the number of sessions performed. Everyone is different and benefits differently from the treatment. Results cannot be guaranteed.
  • What is microchanneling?
Microchanneling works by creating tiny perforations in the epidermis, initiating a natural healing response from your skin. This produces new collagen and elastin that will rise to the surface to tighten skin and heal blemishes.
  • Does microchanneling hurt?
Microchanneling is minimally uncomfortabl. It essentially feels like tiny pin pricks on the topmost surface of your skin. It is non-invasive, and discomfort can be greatly reduced when a topical numbing cream is requested prior to treament.
  • How do I care for my skin post microchanneling treatment?
If any Microchannel Delivery Solution roll-on remains, apply continually until gone. No other products should be applied until the following day. When the numbing wears off, your skin may feel like a mild sunburn. You may apply cool compresses as desired. Needle lengths of 0.25mm, 0.5mm will result in mild redness and swelling for up to 24 hours. Beginning the following morning, apply the Livra Cellular Renewal Serum and Healing Accelerator to enhance results. (Cleanse and apply 1-3 pumps). Apply daily, morning and evening. Peeling and skin sloughing may occur for several days after treatment. Trans Epidermal Water Loss is a common temporary side effect and could leave you feeling dry. Keep the recommended moisturizer with you during the day and apply as frequently as necessary to avoid a dry sensation. Return for a follow up treatment in about a month or as recommended.
  • What is the Hyaluron Pen treatment, and what areas is it good for?"
The Hyaluron Pen deposits hyaluronic acid filler into the epidermal and upper dermal layers of the skin without the use of traditional needles or injections. This treatment is ideal for plumping lips, filling nasal labial lines and marionette lines, and more! The Hyaluron Pen uses pressure, which causes the hyaluronic acid to turn into nano scale molecules and inserts the hyaluronic acid filler through the skin. (The diameter of hyaluronic acid flow is only 0.17 mm - two times smaller than the smallest insulin needle!) The hyaluronic acid only reaches the papillary layer of the dermis, rendering this a safe treatment, having no risk of occlusion as well as no sharp tips to puncture blood vessels. There is virtually no downtime for this procedure, and it is safe, effective, and nearly painless.
  • What is the post treatment care for the Hyaluron Pen?
Everyone heals & retains differently. The process of healing is different and is based on many factors. There will be swelling and some bruising. Healing happens in 3 stages: 1. Healing on the surface layers of the skin 2. Changes in the shape & thickness of skin - 3. Achieving the desired results Be gentle on the treatment surface! Please wash your hands prior to touching the area. Avoid touching, poking, and do not apply any products on the treatment area for the first 48 hours! Tylenol for pain/soreness. Arnica to treat bruising. Bruising usually disappears within 3-7 days; longer if the client is anemic. NO TANNING procedures for one week. ITCHINESS can be resolved by BENADRYL. Avoid heavy makeup, intense sweating, and swimming for the next 3 days. Avoid excessive exercise, sweating, and saunas. Avoid spicy foods, coffee, wine, and alcohol for 24-48 hours. Remember most mentioned are natural diuretics and allow the body to expel more water and urine. NO SEXUAL CONTACT for the next 3 days! Why? These are open wounds! BACTERIA can lead to an infection. Allergic reactions happen instantaneously from 3 seconds to 2 minutes after the procedure. On rare occasions these happen within 24 hours. BENADRYL is taken to help with the reaction. Bumps and lumps are completely normal and can be massaged. If bumps are severe a heating pack may be applied. Post procedure, Carmex, Aquaphor, Burt's Bees, Chapstick and Blistex are okay to apply. SWELLING IS NORMAL! IT IS NOT A BOTCHED PROCEDURE! Remember, we are aiming for volume, not plump. Plump is post procedure and swelling. Volume is adding texture and increase in size (gradually) in the lips. Any severe phenomena like uncontrolled bleeding, cyanotic changes, extreme painful swelling, and burning sensation in the area – please contact the artist.
